Lim’s Timber supplies timber, plywood, wooden pallets, wooden cases, crates, skids, dunnage and customised timber components in Singapore. We also provide timber fabrication, industrial packing, ISPM 15 heat treatment, fumigation, preservative treatment, fire-retardant treatment and used-pallet collection services.

Lim’s Timber Trading Co. was established in 1980. We have more than four decades of experience supporting businesses with timber supply, wooden packaging, fabrication and treatment services.

Yes. We manufacture customised wooden pallets, crates, cases, skids, timber supports, wedges, blocks, cradles and other timber products according to the required dimensions and application.

Delivery can be arranged within Singapore, subject to the product type, quantity, delivery location and access requirements. Please provide the delivery address when requesting a quotation.

Urgent orders may be supported depending on material availability, production capacity, treatment requirements and delivery schedule. Customers should provide complete specifications as early as possible.

1. What types of timber does Lim’s Timber supply?

We supply selected hardwood, softwood and sawn-timber products for construction, marine, industrial, packaging and fabrication applications. Available species may include Balau, Chengal, Keranji and Merbau, subject to current stock.

Yes. Lim’s Timber supplies hardwood in Singapore for structural, marine, industrial, fabrication, pallet, dunnage and packaging applications.

Sawn timber is wood that has been cut from logs into boards, planks, beams, blocks or other sections. It may be supplied rough-sawn or further processed through cutting, planing or fabrication.

Hardwood generally comes from broad-leaved trees, while softwood usually comes from coniferous trees. The best choice depends on the required strength, durability, appearance, weight, treatment and intended application.

Dense and durable hardwoods such as selected grades of Balau or Chengal may be considered for certain marine applications. The final timber choice should be based on the project specification, exposure conditions, dimensions and required treatment.

Yes. Balau timber may be supplied for heavy construction, timber beams, industrial components, selected marine applications and heavy-duty wooden packaging, subject to stock availability.

Yes. Chengal timber may be available for structural, outdoor, decking, marine and heavy-duty applications. Customers should provide their required dimensions, grade and quantity.

Yes. Keranji may be supplied for heavy construction, beams, supports, pallets, industrial flooring and other demanding applications, subject to availability.

Yes. Merbau timber may be available for flooring, decking, joinery, decorative timber work and selected structural or outdoor applications.

Yes. Timber can be cut according to the required length, width and thickness, subject to the timber species, available stock, quantity and acceptable dimensional tolerance.

Dunnage wood is timber used to support, separate, block or secure cargo during storage and transportation. It is commonly used under machinery, steel products, containers and industrial equipment.

Yes. We supply cribbing wood, timber blocks and support sections for machinery, cargo and industrial applications. Required load conditions and dimensions should be provided for assessment.

1. What types of plywood does Lim’s Timber supply?

We supply marine plywood, WBP plywood, film-faced plywood, moisture-resistant plywood and selected construction plywood in different thicknesses and sheet sizes.

Yes. Lim’s Timber supplies plywood in Singapore for marine, construction, formwork, furniture, packaging, crate manufacturing and industrial applications.

Marine plywood is manufactured for demanding moisture-exposed applications using suitable veneers and adhesive bonding. BS 1088-compliant options may be available where supporting product documentation is required.

Marine plywood is designed for demanding moisture exposure, but it should not automatically be described as completely waterproof. Proper sealing, installation, edge protection and maintenance remain important.

WBP refers to weather- and boil-resistant adhesive bonding. WBP plywood is commonly used for construction, packaging and applications requiring greater moisture resistance, but suitability depends on the complete plywood grade and specifications.

Film-faced plywood is commonly used for concrete formwork and shuttering. Its resin-film surface helps provide a smoother finish and improved resistance to moisture and abrasion.

Moisture-resistant plywood is generally used for interior furniture, cabinets, shelving, partitions and other applications where occasional humidity may be present.

Common plywood thicknesses may range from approximately 3 mm to 25 mm. Availability depends on the plywood type, sheet size, supplier and current stock.

Yes. We manufacture customised plywood pallets, cases, boxes and wooden packaging according to the required dimensions, cargo weight and application.

Packaging manufactured entirely from processed wood materials such as plywood is generally treated differently from solid-wood packaging. However, any solid-wood runners, frames, blocks or bases incorporated into the packaging may still require treatment for export.

Yes. Lim’s Timber supplies standard and customised wooden pallets in Singapore for warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, marine, chemical, export and industrial applications.

We supply two-way pallets, four-way pallets, CP pallets, Euro-size pallets, Asia square pallets, GMA pallets, plywood pallets, ASRS-compatible pallets, wooden skids and recycled pallets.

A two-way pallet allows forklift or pallet-jack entry from two opposite sides. A four-way pallet allows forklift access from all four sides, providing greater handling flexibility.

Yes. Custom wooden pallets can be manufactured according to the required dimensions, cargo weight, entry type, handling method, storage system and transportation requirements.

CP pallets are standardised pallet designs commonly used in the chemical and related industries. Different CP models have different dimensions, deck arrangements and intended applications.

Yes. Lim’s Timber can supply selected CP pallet designs, including CP3, CP7 and CP9 pallets, subject to the required construction, quantity and availability.

Yes. We supply Euro-size wooden pallets and half-size pallets. Where a genuine licensed EPAL pallet is specifically required, this should be stated during the quotation request.

A GMA pallet is a common North American pallet format measuring approximately 48 × 40 inches. It is widely used for warehousing, consumer goods and general distribution.

An Asia square pallet commonly measures 1,100 × 1,100 mm. Its square format is frequently used in Asian logistics, warehousing and industrial applications.

An ASRS pallet is designed for use in an automated storage and retrieval system. The pallet must meet the system’s requirements for dimensions, bottom-deck configuration, deflection, tolerances and handling.

A pallet normally has both a top deck and a bottom deck, while a skid generally has a top platform supported by runners without a complete bottom deck. Skids are often used for machinery and heavy equipment.

1. Does Lim’s Timber manufacture wooden crates in Singapore?

Yes. We manufacture custom wooden cases and crates in Singapore for machinery, equipment, spare parts, industrial cargo and export shipments.

A wooden case is fully or mostly enclosed, while a wooden crate usually has open or spaced timber boards. Cases provide greater enclosure, while crates offer easier inspection, ventilation and access.

1. What timber fabrication services does Lim’s Timber provide?

We provide timber cutting, S4S planing, custom sizing, profiling, selected CNC machining and fabrication of specialised wooden components.

Yes. Customers may provide technical drawings, sketches, photographs or physical samples. Please include the required dimensions, material, quantity and intended application.

S4S means “surfaced four sides.” The timber is planed on all four faces to provide smoother and more consistent surfaces and dimensions.

Selected CNC timber machining may be available for holes, slots, notches, cut-outs and profiles, subject to the material, dimensions and project requirements.

Yes. We manufacture customised timber wedges, blocks, chocks, spacers and supports according to the required dimensions and application.

Yes. Timber cradles, bases, bearers and support structures can be fabricated for machinery, pipes, cylinders, marine equipment and industrial cargo.

In some cases, we can assess and reproduce a wooden component from a physical sample, drawing or detailed photograph. Dimensions and tolerances should be confirmed before production.

1. What is CCA timber treatment?

CCA treatment is a pressure-treatment process intended to help protect suitable timber against decay and insect attack for selected outdoor, marine and industrial applications.

Yes. CCA timber treatment is available for selected timber products, dimensions and applications.

Fire-retardant treatment is intended to improve the reaction-to-fire performance of selected timber products. Suitability depends on the treatment system, supporting documentation and project requirements.

No. Fire-retardant treatment does not make timber completely fireproof. It is intended to improve specific fire-performance characteristics under defined conditions.

Yes. Brush-on timber protection and finishing may be available for selected products, touch-up work and smaller-batch applications.

Pressure treatment forces preservative deeper into suitable timber, while brush-on treatment is applied mainly to the surface. The appropriate method depends on the exposure and intended application.
